Career Aspirations
Short-Term Goals: My short-term aspirations are to graduate with my undergraduate degree and take a gap year to gain more hands-on experience. During this time, I plan to complete my Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification and continue working in a behavioral clinical setting. I also intend to gain additional clinical experience through active-duty orders, which will help strengthen my skills and prepare me for advanced training.
After my gap year, I plan to apply to graduate school and begin a master’s program in clinical psychology. This will enable me to establish a solid foundation in research and clinical practice within the field. From there, my goal is to pursue a doctorate in clinical psychology with a concentration in neuroscience.
Long-Term Goals: My long-term aspiration is to become a clinical neuropsychologist. This career path inspires me because it will allow me to help patients who struggle with daily activities or cognitive functions due to neurological or psychological conditions. I want to be someone who helps patients feel supported, understands their challenges, and teaches them strategies or techniques that can improve their functioning and quality of life.
